Dunkelblau (Darkblue) is a “cinema-opera” and its instrumentation originates from the same art form and was born at the same time as the cinema: electroacoustic music. Just like the screen and the the opera-stage emphasise big emotions, the two sound-cineasts based the combination of narration and music upon an intense lovestory. And as in the musical form of a sonata a male and a female theme come closer ane closer together. The erotic images of this acoustical film evolve from the fantasy of the listener. |
