Mike Essoudry is known as a sensitive yet active and responsive drummer, with strong musical intuition. He received a Master of Music degree (Jazz Drumset Performance) from McGill University in 2003. He is active in the improvised music scene having released a duo album with saxophonist Linsey Wellman, on Malasartes Musiques, and has recently released a recording of his music for octet, featuring musicians from Ottawa, Montréal and New York City. Performing in many different musical settings, he is also an active teacher and dance accompianist. |
